The Rios is Freenote Cloth's original fit. A universal slim-straight fit that works well on almost everyone. But with the end of Cone Mills, the guys at Freenote had to find the right kind of denim to back their line. They wanted a classic custom denim that would showcase in their different fits.
Freenote's first propriety denim is made by Kaihara Mills, and features ultra dark warp yarn woven with a natural weft. The weave is tighter and features a medium slub, so the resulting denim will fade more quickly. The tighter weave also results in a faster indigo chipping process and yields more pronounced fades.
As Freenote has always been about the details, this denim is no exception. They now have a custom selvedge ID in antique gold ticking. This gold selvedge ID matches the same thread color of their top stitching.
